The Spring Air Box Spring completes the set to your Spring Air mattress.  Buying the same brand box spring as your new mattress means that it is designed for the proper weight distribution of the mattress and will absorb weight evenly, ensuring proper support and also extending the life of your mattress.  This box spring is made with an all wooden frame design and a reinforced center support. 
 
A box spring can be placed on top of a metal glide frame and act as a stand alone foundation, or it can be placed into a wooden bedframe or onto a slatted base for added support.  Depending on your bedframe, you may require a box spring to provide the support needed for your mattress, and to prevent voiding your manufacturer's warranty.   
 
This box spring is available in 2 height options: 
  • Regular: 9 inch — The standard box spring height
  • Low Profile: 4 inch — This height works well with mattresses that are on the thicker side or if you prefer a mattress that is lower to the floor
